Larry Rice has live in the Village of Hodgkins for over 35 years with his wife. They have a son and two grandchildren together. Larry retired from Electro-Motive after 25 years. Larry has served on various boards including Hodgkins Park District. Larry believes if you live in a Village you should serve the Village to the best of your ability.
The Village of Hodgkins was originally known as Gary, a name locals claim was derived from “Garibaldi”, in recognition of the large number of Italian laborers working in an area grain mill. After several name changes, the Village of Hodgkins was incorporated in 1896.
